ClearSpace: Duplicate & Similar File Remover ("ClearSpace" or "the app") is developed by Aurevix. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and what we do not do with your files.

Your photos, videos, and files

ClearSpace requests access to your device storage (photos, videos, audio, and documents on Android) so it can scan for duplicate and similar files, large files, screenshots, and blurry photos. All scanning, comparison, and review happens entirely on your device. Your files are never uploaded to our servers or any cloud service we operate.

Local app data

The app stores some information locally on your device to work properly, including:

• Scan results, duplicate groups, and your selections during review.
• Items you move to Trash before permanent deletion.
• Your ignore list, scan history, and app settings (theme, sensitivity, thresholds).

This data stays on your device in local app storage and is removed when you delete it in the app or uninstall ClearSpace. We do not operate a backend and do not maintain user accounts.

Deleting files

When you choose to remove files, ClearSpace deletes them using your device's media permissions. Removed items may first be placed in the in-app Trash, where you can restore them before they are permanently deleted according to your settings.

Third-party services

The app uses Google AdMob and Google Firebase. These SDKs may collect and share data with Google for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention, including:

• Device or other identifiers (such as the Android advertising ID)
• App interactions (such as taps and ad views)
• App performance and diagnostic data
• Approximate location derived from IP address

This data is processed by Google under its own policies. It is not used to access or upload your photos, videos, or files. Learn more:

What the app does not do

• No uploading of your photos, videos, audio, or documents to our servers.
• No account creation, sign-in, or user profile.
• No selling or sharing of your personal files or scan results.
• No location tracking.

Children's privacy

ClearSpace is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
